böku stats ("we", "our", "the App") is a football intelligence application that provides statistical analysis and predictions. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Email address and subscription status when you create an account via Supabase authentication. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext.
• Favorites and preferences: Teams, leagues, and matches you bookmark for personalization. Stored locally on your device and optionally synced with your account.
• Usage analytics: Anonymous, aggregated usage data and crash reports to improve app performance.
• Language preference: Your selected display language (English or Spanish).
• IP address (transient): Used solely for API rate limiting and abuse prevention. Not stored long-term, not linked to your account, not used for marketing or profiling.
• Match queries for AI insights: When you request an AI-generated analysis, the match identifier and associated public match data (team names, odds, statistics) are transmitted to our AI provider to generate the response. No personal account information is included in these requests.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect or store credit card, debit card, or bank information. All payments are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store and managed via RevenueCat.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
• We do not track your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, or device identifiers for advertising.
• We do not process or facilitate any gambling transactions. The App does not accept wagers and does not handle betting funds.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the böku stats analysis service.
• To manage your subscription entitlement and account access.
• To send service-related communications (e.g., subscription changes, security alerts). No marketing emails.
• To improve the App through anonymous aggregated analytics and crash reporting.
• To prevent abuse and enforce rate limits on shared infrastructure.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data transmitted to it:

• Supabase (supabase.com) — Authentication and account management. Stores your email, hashed password, and account metadata.
• RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) — Subscription management via Apple's App Store. Receives a hashed App Store user identifier and subscription entitlement status. Does not receive your email or personal identifiers from us.
• Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI-generated insights on demand. Receives match-level public data (teams, odds, statistical inputs) to produce natural-language analysis. Does not receive your email, account identifier, or any personally identifiable information. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models.
• FootyStats and API-Football — Public sports data providers. We query these for match schedules, statistics, and standings. No user data is transmitted.
• Railway — Backend infrastructure host. Standard server-side data handling; see railway.app privacy policy.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmission is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.

7. Children's Privacy

böku stats is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you are under 18, please do not use the App. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data by contacting us at support@bokustats.com.
• Disable anonymous analytics through your device settings.
• Request account deletion — we will process your request within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
